  • Storage & Files Access: Required to save, manage, and export scanned PDF documents and files on your device.
  • Usage Data: Non-personal information like device types and app usage patterns collected via Firebase Analytics.

On-Device Processing

ScanKit processes all your documents, images, and PDF files entirely on your device. No scanned documents, created PDFs, annotations, signatures, or any document content is ever transmitted to our servers or any third-party API. Your documents remain private and under your full control at all times.

Our OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality also operates entirely on-device, ensuring that the text extracted from your scanned documents is never sent externally.

Information from Third Parties

We receive some information from third parties when you contact us. For example, if you submit your email address to express interest, we may receive information from automated fraud detection services. We also occasionally collect information made publicly available on social media websites, which you can control through your privacy settings on those platforms.

Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase Analytics: Used to collect anonymous usage data and app performance metrics to help us improve the app experience. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage statistics.
  • Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect device information and use advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
